Rudolph S. Nucci, D.V.M.

IMG_6862_pp.jpg Dr. Nucci did his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University.  He then attended Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1970.

Dr. Nucci was first employed at the East Side Veterinary Hospital in Detroit, in 1970, a large busy and challenging practice where he gained the bedrock of his experience in the treatment of small animals.  This included extensive experience in surgical procedures of all kinds.  He was on staff there until 1983.

In 1983, Dr. Nucci opened the Nucci Veterinary Clinic in St. Clair Shores.  Originally a solo practice, the clinic now employs five veterinarians as well as a staff of veterinary technicians and administrative personnel.  The clinic is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. 

Dr. Nucci's special interests include internal medicine and dermatology.  He is a member of the American Veterinary Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, the Southeast Michigan Veterinary Medical Association as well as the Macomb County Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Nucci enjoys spending time with his wife Colleen and their cat Sophia.  They have three children, Todd, Tara and Kelsey.  Dr. Nucci's other interests are golf, physical fitness, and watching all types of sporting events, especially those featuring the Spartans of MSU!


Kathleen G. Murphy, D.V.M.

Dr. Murphy did her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University graduating with a degree in microbiology.  She then attended Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1985.  Dr. Murphy has worked exclusively with small animal practices including one year at an emergency clinic.  In 1989, she joined the staff of the Nucci Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Murphy's special interests include laser surgery, ophthalmology and internal medicine.  She attends approximately 30 hours of continuing education every year.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Association, the Americansey Animal Hospital Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association as well as the Southeast Michigan Veterinary Medical Association.

She resides with her dogs Petey and Fiona, along with her cats, Catfish and Target.  She enjoys spending her free time with her family and pets, as well as cheering on the Tigers at Comerica Park.
